Superman's Dead
Christopher Reeve has passed away due to heart failure.
He is the most recognized face wearing the red and blue spandex. When he suffered a riding accident, he put his efforts to spinal cord research. This was evident when he guest-starred in Smallville as Dr. Swann. At the end of the episode, he and Tom Welling (the young Clark) asked for donations to his foundation.
For me, i was very much looking forward to his upcoming appearances on Smallville. For the two episodes he appeared in, they were nostalgic and momentous.
He will be missed.

It's a goddamn shame.
zeerocks: it's the end of an era. it wasn't like he was just playing superman in the movies. he WAS superman.
it's really a sad, sad day for both comic book genre fans and health research advocates. he was the voice and hope for people living with paralysis. it's so sad he's gone too soon.
