it seems that the only time i would write in this blog is when i type in the create post section in this dashboard. i use the handy notepad all the time but whenever i write there, it seems not to be blog material. so that means i'm wasting away precious pldt vibe internet hours pushing keyboard buttons to create this post. the reason why i don't post that much. can i really ask parents to get a DSL connection?



i wanted to write about a lot of things but because of my inability to write on the spot, all of those topics become outdated. so in not-so-me fashion (i can go on yapping on these topics for hours), an outline of events/scenarios/issues that persist in my mind all the time.

1) RP Team for Basketball now gets the ball rolling when Chot Reyes was finally appointed head coach.

--> Finally! A clear basketball program with the PBA (or SMC when you really take a close look at it) becoming godfather. World Basketball Championships in Japan and Olympics in China are hopefully not so far way.

2) Fil-sham issue on Asi Taulava and how he played in the first game of the PBA Philippine Cup 2004-2005 Finals in Game 1 due to court order (judge's order, mind you!)

--> Big messy issue. Asi's documents is found by DOJ to be lacking. Should be deported but stopped by TRO. Due to favorable judge, he played when he is actually suspended by the PBA. Game 1 is forfeited to Ginebra. But the finals is far from over. And the battle is not only on the hardcourt, but on the court of law as well.

3) Phoenix Suns racing to a very good start in the NBA 2004-05 seasons by playing small, but very, very fast.

--> Four words: Steve Nash for MVP!

4) Finally able to view In The Mood For Love by Wong Kar Wai.

--> This is outright depressing. I was depressed for a week or so after watching this film. I really can't explain it. But the displacement that transpired in me after watching it was inexplicable. As if all the hapiness in me was sucked out. The visuals were so tremendously moving. This is must-see. Must get my hands on the sequel, 2046.

5) Finally completed Mark Millar's Wanted and Chosen mini-series and Grant Morrison's WE3.

--> Millar's Wanted lead character lokks very much like Eminem and buzzes say a movie is in the works. Wanted is about a world where all superheroes are dead and the villains run the show. Chosen is about a certain reincarnation of some biblical figure, but the catch is it's not who we think... Morrison's WE3 is downright brutal yet very caring. The animals composed of Bandit the dog, Tinker the cat and Pirate the rabbit just wanted to go home after they escaped being decommishioned. The animals were not given humanistic characterization but rather stayed true to their stereotype behavior. But that didn't stop the rampage and bloodspill. This series shouts loudly... Creator-owned stories kick ass!



All this time I spent so much time on basketball, internet, movies and comics. I'm forgetting that in exactly two months will be my board exams. Sheesh!

I may have to stop daydreaming about...

...those 3 consecutive 3-point shots i made in the recent EEE days basketball tournament

...checking out the sports pages in the web for basketball stories

...finding an Elektra movie poster (Jen Garner rocks! i don't care if they say the movie sucks hehe)

...and finally monitoring my monthly comic book series where I just got Shanna the She-Devil mini-series (would you believe i'm getting 5 regular titles and 3 specials?!).

Yada yada yada.. You don't want to be pressured so start practicing for that multiple choice exam!...

Waah! I can't seem to pass up watching the DVD of Anchorman starring Will Farell and Wicker Park starring Diane Kruger ;p! Hehe...



P.S. I just transformed to P-Chan and I will be in Akane's arms...
