'Pulse' by the 'other' Kurosawa screenings

I've been dying to watch Pulse (or the original Japanese title Kairo) ever since i saw 'Cure' when Eiga Sai featured the works of Kyoshi Kurosawa 2 years ago (Mar 2003).

Pulse wasn't included in the said Kyoshi Kurosawa film fest and i've been on the hunt for a DVD copy ever since. Unfortunately, i'm not that resourceful enough, and didn't pursue purchasing online (maybe i'm loving the elusiveness of it).

I vividly recall jotting down in the Eiga Sai March 2005 review form to screen Pulse when asked what films do you wish to see.

Wish granted!

Screenings were already held in Shangri-La cinemas. Screenings in Cine Adarna is this week Sept 13-17. CCP screenings are on Sept 20-25.

Screening times of Pulse in Cine Adarna.
Sept 13 5pm! *corrected
Sept 14 730pm
Sept 16 5pm

Pulse is a derivative of Ringu. It entails the concept of a 'ghost' in a machine. In Ringu, you will die 7 days after viewing the video. In Pulse, it is 48 hours after receiving an e-mail.

I still vividly remember how 'Cure' affected me after watching it. It was disturbing and surreal. I'm expecting the same for Pulse.
